India’s another contribution towards development is the development of the Largest Floating Solar Power Plant in the country . It is situ Floating Solar Power Plant . It is situated in the Telangana district with the capacity holding of 100MW in the surveillance of National Thermal Power Coorporation ltd (NTPC).

The total costing is 423crore & its covering the land of 450 acre which can be increased in future if needed alongwith the capacity of 175 GW out of which 100GW is assured & project is estimated to be complete in 2022.In this solar power plant the photovoltaic plates are kept on the banks of river which are used for the generation of electricity .This also helps in giving the warning & the call for the disturbing situation occurring beneath the land or water .Along with generation of electricity it also provides shade to the water animal present . India’s first plant was built in 2014, Kolkata. Recently , the minister of Madhya Pradesh announce to built world’s largest Floating Solar Plant on the banks of Omkareshwar river in which the costing is of 3000 crore & its capacity will be of 600MW.
