Harit Ghar

Harit Ghar is PSG's operational model for grassroots action. The unit of work is the Green Home (हरित घर). 10 Harit Ghars form a unit. Harit Milan (हरित मिलन) is the regular meeting of green homes. Harit Prahari (हरित प्रहरी) is the core volunteer who leads each unit. The initiative aims to make households environmentally sustainable through conservation techniques.

Objectives

• Transform residences into green, sustainable homes.
• Build a network of Harit Praharis (Green Sentinels) across India.
• Promote environmental protection through household-level action.
• Provide technical assistance to households adopting green practices.
