Smriti Vriksha Karyakram — Kerala

CRPF Commando Shri Vishnu, a Sangh volunteer from Nedumangad (Thiruvananthapuram), was killed in a Maoist attack. In his memory, volunteers planted one tree daily at every location in the district — continuing for over 130 days. MLAs, army officers, social leaders, and students from schools, colleges, temples, government offices, and other institutions all joined regularly.
