2025 Prayag Kumbh Mela; also known as 2025 Maha Kumbh, to be held at convergence place of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, will be a once-in-12-years event commencing on 13 January 2025 and ending on 26 February 2025. This event will be followed by Ardh Kumbh of 2019 Prayag Kumbh Mela. It is expected to attract around 400 million visitors. It has a significance of being held once in 12 year period in Hinduism as it is believed that the battle for nectar between Gods and Demons lasted for 12 years. The event is also expected to be held in Haridawar, Ujjain, and Nashik.

Reusable plates & bags will be distributed free to pilgrims before the event begins in January, reducing reliance on disposable utensils & promoting environmental conservation.
